If you are like me and you require a special treatment on Mondays, then make sure you visit The Rooks for lunch and a cocktail, to make your day go quicker.
The Rooks is a rooftop bar located in the heart of Sydney CBD, offering better than average pub food, some delicious burgers and most importantly lobsters than won’t cost an arm and a leg.
Being in the middle of the business district The Rooks makes it a perfect place for business lunches, social events or just a simply a chilled lunch with friends.
In my case ,we went there with work colleagues for a celebratory lunch
We started with variety of cocktails ( i highly recommend “Return To India”($19) cocktail with Ketel 1 Vodka, mango peach liqueur, chai, lemon and egg white ) and Lobster, prawn & chorizo croquettes with paprika aioli (above).
Below is The Bandito burger ($23),chilli bean wagyu, guacamole, chipotle. Served with spicy wedges . Love the chilli on top!
Lobster and Bacon Roll ($25) was my choice, as anything lobster will do for me. Absolutely delicious, im not too sure about the bacon though, it felt a bit out of place, i’d rather have more sauce, more lobster and maybe some green with that. But to each their own, i highly recommend it, let me know if bacon was a good choice to add to the roll!
Summer Prawn Salad ($27) looked absolutely amazing, all my favourite things on one plate. Massive prawns, mango, kiwis and lots of greens. Perfect healthy summer salad
And of course we had to share a dessert, if you haven’t tried deep fried Mars bar ($14) – you are missing out big time! At the Rooks it comes with Vanilla Bean ice cream on the side. Everyone has to try it at least once in their life time. It is horrendously unhealthy but it tastes so good!
Pretty good options for Monday, right?
